We've always been into weird, social installations centered around playful themes, but more recently into temporary, large-scale sand drawings that we create on the coast. We labor over them and they get erased by the tide.
The transient nature of it is kind of freeing, and passers by offer both encouragement and surprise at how we're missing the low tide window/better hurry up/why would we be spending our time doing something that fades away. Their dogs run through our work and we invite people to walk on the carefully curated sand barefoot; it's a different experience with a crunchy sound. Like a lovely, fleeting piece of art that we made just for them and the ocean to enjoy rolling over.
